Thomas Ashton
Thomas J. Ashton, 21, of Woodside, NY died tragically and innocently on September 11, 2001 while working on the 95th floor of One World Trade Center. Precious and cherished son of John and Kathleen Ashton. Beloved brother of Colleen and Mary Ash ton. Loving boyfriend of Jacqueline Crilley. Dedicated and loving grandson of Lewis and Kathleen Worth, Virginia and the late John Ashton and great-grandmother, Agnes Carroll. Tommy's life and memory will also be cherished by a large, loving extended family and dear friends. Tommy lived his entire short life in St. Sebastian's parish in Woodside, Queens where he attended St. Sebastian's School. A 1997 graduate of Archbishop Molloy High School, Briarwood. Tommy excelled as a competitive swimmer and was captain of both Molloy's swim team and the Flushing Flyer's swim team. Tommy attended St. Francis College in Brooklyn as a political science major. He was an IBEW Local 3 apprentice electrician who admired the beauty, majesty and purpose of the World Trade Center towers. A gift to family and friends, Tommy was a loving, kind, deeply introspective and spiritual person who enjoyed relaxing, weekends in the mountains, fun evenings with family and friends and Met games. Family and friends honored Tommy's memory at a Memorial Wake on Thursday, October 4 and Friday, October 5 at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home 41-45 58th St., Woodside, Queens from 2-5PM and 7-9PM. A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, October 6 at 10:30AM at St. Sebastian's Church, 58th St. and Roosevelt Ave., Woodside.
