Youth Of The Year: Morgan Healy MacKay

Honors Student, Athlete and Volunteer. This 16 year old Douglaston resident appears in "Who's Who Among American High School Students." Morgan maintains a 97% cumulative average at St. Francis Prep, and is on the Science Olympiad Team, Speech Team and the Varsity Swim Team. While achieving honors in every grade since entering Louis Pasteur Middle School 67, multiple awards from the National Honor Society, the French National Honor Society, The Optimate Society, and a Women in Science Award, Morgan is also captain of the Flushing YMCA Flyers Swim team. Her impressive list of volunteer and community work includes Peer Counselor, Special Olympics Volunteer, Locks of Love Volunteer, membership in the Douglaston Community Church's Pastoral Search and Youth Director Search Committees. For the last three years she has also served as a Summer Camp counselor with the Church.
